Common questions
My prediction was wrong — my period came early or late.
Predictions are estimates built from the cycles you have already logged, and they sharpen with every one you add. If a period arrived on a different day, log the real dates on the calendar and the next prediction adjusts around them. If your cycles vary a lot by nature, tracking an irregular cycle explains what any app can and cannot promise, and how period prediction works covers the maths behind the date. MoodSwings is a wellness tracker, not a medical device — predictions are estimates, not guarantees.
How do I pair with my partner?
In the app, open Settings → Partner Sharing and generate a six-character invite code, then send it to your partner to enter in their copy of MoodSwings. Each code works once and expires after 14 days — if yours has gone stale, just generate a new one. More on how the couples side works, and what your partner actually sees.
What exactly can my partner see?
Your current cycle phase, your predicted next period, today's mood, a recent window of mood history, and one short note about how to support you. They cannot see your free-text notes, your basal body temperature, your sexual activity logs, or discharge details. The full breakdown is in privacy in a period tracker and the privacy policy.
How do I disconnect from my partner?
Settings → Partner Sharing → Disconnect. It takes effect immediately — their app shows that the partner is no longer connected, and they stop receiving your updates. You can pair again later with a fresh invite code.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. The quickest route is inside the app: Settings → Manage Subscription opens Apple's subscription management directly. You can also go to iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → MoodSwings. For refunds, use Apple's Report a Problem.
I got a new iPhone and my data is not there.
Two separate things travel separately. For your subscription, tap Restore Purchases on the paywall. For your cycle history, your account has to be more than anonymous: Settings → Back up your data links your account to Apple or Google so a new phone keeps everything. If you have already wiped the old phone and never linked an account, email us — we will do what we can.
My notifications are not arriving.
Two switches both have to be on: iOS Settings → Notifications → MoodSwings, and the reminders themselves in the app under Settings → Notifications. If iOS permission was denied at some point, the app's notification rows say so and link straight to the right iOS screen.
Can I use MoodSwings as birth control?
No — please do not. The fertile window and pregnancy-chance indicators are estimates calculated from the data you log, not a contraceptive method, and they are least reliable exactly when cycles are irregular. If you are preventing pregnancy, use a clinically proven contraceptive method and talk to a healthcare provider. MoodSwings is a wellness and lifestyle tracker, not a medical device, and it is not cleared or approved by any regulator.
How do I delete my account, or get a copy of my data?
Settings → Delete Account removes your account, and we wipe the records within 30 days. A self-serve export is not in the app yet — email hello@worthatry.co and we will send your data within 30 days. Either way, see the privacy policy for what we hold and for how long.
Still stuck?
Email support@worthatry.co with your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were trying to do — that's usually enough for us to spot it on the first reply. For privacy requests, data requests, and legal notices, write to hello@worthatry.co instead.
